Tender Description
Multan Electric Power Company Limited (MEPCO) invites sealed tenders from contractors registered and approved by Pakistan Engineering Council with field specialization EE 04, EE 05, and CE 10 for the fiscal year 2025-26. The procurement is specifically for the MEPCO Division Layyah. The scope involves transportation, safe handling, shifting, and erection of HT Spun Poles sized 45' 36' and LT Spun Poles sized 31'.

The contractor must produce original documents including CNIC copies duly attested. Earnest money of 3% of the bid value in the form of call deposit receipt (CDR) from scheduled banks is required before issuance of tender documents. The bid must not be less than 20% below analyzed rates; otherwise, a 5% performance security in CDR form is mandatory within 15 days. Failure to submit this will lead to cancellation and forfeiture of earnest money. The security deposit of 5% will be returned upon successful completion.
Eligibility requires PEC registration with specified field codes, FBR registration, and experience of similar contracts with at least 80% value completion certificates. Contractors pre-qualified with WAPDA/PEPCO/DISCOS/NTDC/MEPCO are eligible. Income tax returns for the last two years and fresh bank statements proving cash or cash equivalents equal to 40% of contract value are mandatory.
Tender documents are available from 17-08-2026 to 02:30 PM at the Executive Engineer (OP) MEPCO Division Layyah office on payment of Rs. 2000 non-refundable. Submission deadline is 19-08-2026 by 12:00 PM with opening 30 minutes later. Electronic bids are not accepted.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure all required documents are attached and attested, especially CNIC and financial proofs, as incomplete submissions will be rejected at tender opening. Early collection and preparation of documents will avoid last-minute issues.
