Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the upgradation of 100 primary schools to middle level in Balochistan, specifically at GBPS Kakar Colony No.3, Quetta. The project falls under the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), City CWPP&H Department, focusing on construction and civil works materials. The scope involves comprehensive civil engineering tasks including structural enhancements and building maintenance to meet middle school standards.
The work requires adherence to composite schedule rates 2023 and involves specialized civil engineering codes CE10(i) and CE10(vii). The site location in Quetta presents typical regional challenges such as material logistics and climatic considerations. Bidders must demonstrate experience with similar projects, ensuring quality and timely completion within the financial year 2026.
Bidders should be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under category C-5 or above, with relevant specialization. Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status is mandatory, and firms must not be blacklisted by any procuring agency. The bidder must have completed at least three similar projects with a turnover of not less than PKR 17,836,000 in the previous years. Affidavits confirming no conflict of interest, no litigation, and no contract failures in the last five years are required.
Submission deadline is set for 21 January 2026 at 09:00 AM, with tender opening at 10:00 AM the same day. Documents can be obtained from the Executive Engineer's office on Whyte Road, Quetta, upon payment of PKR 2,000. The bid security of 4% must be submitted via bank guarantee or deposit at call from a scheduled bank.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) and Green Challan are correctly prepared and submitted, as these are frequently overlooked and can lead to disqualification. Also, verify the exact stamp duty requirements mentioned in the newspaper ad to avoid procedural delays.
