Tender Description
The Directorate of Post Clearance Audit (North) under the Federal Board of Revenue is inviting workshops based in Islamabad and Rawalpindi to apply for pre-qualification for vehicle repair and maintenance services. This procurement specifically targets workshops capable of handling all types of vehicle repairs including engine overhauling, denting, painting, and software and electronic technology handling. The scope also includes timely supply of spare parts such as tyres, batteries, and engine oil. The department requires workshops with sound financial standing and valid registrations including General Sales Tax and National Tax Number, along with active taxpayer list (ATL) status with FBR.
Workshops must demonstrate technical capability with well-equipped machinery and technical staff including experts and helpers. The site of work is primarily Islamabad with possible service calls requiring immediate response even during odd hours. The pre-qualification process includes submission of a pay order of PKR 25,000 as earnest money in the name of DDO, Directorate of PCA (North) Islamabad. The department reserves the right to accept or reject proposals wholly or partially under PPRA rules.
Eligibility criteria emphasize experience in similar assignments, availability of machinery and tools, technical staff capability, parking and repairing space for vehicles, and financial health evidenced by bank statements. Workshops must provide warranty on replaced or repaired parts and return replaced old parts. Non-compliance with quality standards will result in removal from the panel.
The submission deadline and detailed address for bid submission are specified in the tender documents. Bidders are advised to ensure all required documents including non-blacklisting certificates and valid registrations are attached. A practical tip for bidders is to maintain readiness for immediate service calls and ensure genuine spare parts usage to avoid disqualification. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for qualified workshops to secure ongoing vehicle maintenance contracts with a federal government department.
