Tender Description
The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) based in Multan, Punjab, is procuring 100KVA Distribution Transformers for the financial year 2026-27. This procurement is part of MEPCO's ongoing efforts to enhance power distribution infrastructure in the region. The tender reference number is P65828 and the procurement will be conducted through a National Single Stage-One Envelope method using Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS).
Items being procured:
- 100KVA Distribution Transformers (Quantity: 150 units)
The transformers must comply with NTDC specification DDS-84:2020 (Amended to-date). The delivery schedule requires 50% of the quantity to be supplied within 60 days and the remaining 50% within 90 days or earlier. The delivery location is MEPCO Regional Stores covering Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and D.G. Khan. The price quoted must be fixed, inclusive of all taxes, duties, 0.5% inspection charges, and GST.
Technical scope includes supply of brand new transformers with certificates of origin, warranty, and inspection certificates. Inspection will be conducted at the supplier's premises by the Chief Engineer (M.I) Lahore or authorized representatives along with MEPCO officials. Up to 5% of transformers from each consignment will be randomly tested at EHV Lab Rawat for iron and copper losses. Transportation costs for these tests will be borne by the supplier, while testing costs will be paid by MEPCO. Failure in tests may lead to rejection of the entire lot.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with FBR, have valid sales tax registration, and not be blacklisted by WAPDA, DISCOs, GENCOs, or NTDC. Bidders must submit bid security and performance guarantee as per tender requirements. Experience with MEPCO or other DISCOs and compliance with WAPDA/PEPCO specifications are mandatory.
The bid submission deadline is Monday, August 3, 2026, at 03:00 PM via EPADS v2.0. Manual submissions are not accepted. Bidders must submit the original bid security physically at MEPCO Complex, Wapda Colony, Khanewal Road, Multan before the deadline. Bids will be opened on the same day at 03:30 PM on EPADS v2.0.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and submit all required documents including bid security and technical data to avoid disqualification. Early preparation for inspection and compliance with specifications will enhance chances of successful contract award.
This procurement offers a significant opportunity for suppliers specializing in electrical distribution equipment to engage with a major power distribution company in Punjab.
