Design, Manufacture, Procurement, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of 500 kV Transmission Lines for Phase-1 of C-5 Power Evacuation Scheme

The National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC) invites sealed bids from eligible firms for the design, manufacture, procurement, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 500 kV transmission lines for Phase-1 of the C-5 Power Evacuation Scheme in Lahore and surrounding areas of Punjab. The project is divided into ten lots covering double circuit and single circuit 500 kV transmission lines with approximate lengths ranging from 29 km to 51 km. The scope includes EPC works on an international competitive bidding basis under NGC's own resources. Items being procured: - LOT-I: 500 kV D/C Ludewala–Faisalabad West —Section A (Approx. 51 km) - LOT-II: 500 kV D/C Ludewala–Faisalabad West —Section B (Approx. 49 km) - LOT-III: 500 kV D/C C-5–Ludewala — Section A (Approx. 30 km) - LOT-IV: 500 kV D/C C-5–Ludewala — Section B (Approx. 32 km) - LOT-V: 500 kV D/C C-5–Ludewala — Section C (Approx. 29 km) - LOT-VI: 500 kV D/C C-5–Ludewala — Section D (Approx. 32 km) - LOT-VII: 500kV S/C C5-Ludewala – Section A (Approx. 30 km) - LOT-VIII: 500kV S/C C5-Ludewala – Section B (Approx. 32 km) - LOT-IX: 500kV S/C C5-Ludewala – Section C (Approx. 29 km) - LOT-X: 500kV S/C C5-Ludewala – Section D (Approx. 32 km) The project includes construction of steel lattice towers, supply and stringing of ACSR Drake conductor, optical fiber ground wire (OPGW), insulators, hardware assemblies, accessories, dampers, grounding materials, and associated civil works including foundations and pile foundations. The contractor shall be responsible for detailed engineering, procurement, manufacturing, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and handing over of the complete transmission line system. The project will be executed on EPC basis with strict compliance to NGC's technical specifications and latest type test policy. Eligibility criteria include PEC registration in relevant category, FBR active taxpayer status, experience in similar 500 kV or 220 kV transmission line projects, financial capability, and submission of bid security as per lot. A pre-bid meeting will be held on 16-09-2026 at 11:00 am at NGC Lahore office. Bids must be submitted through e-PADS portal by 05-10-2026 at 11:00 am with original bid security submitted to NGC Lahore office before the deadline. Technical bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 am. The Employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids as per PPRA rules.
