AUCTION: Unserviceable Material at Gilgit-Baltistan Hydro Electric Workshop

NOTE: This is an AUCTION/LEASE notice, not a procurement tender. Bidders pay the department to acquire ownership, lease, rental, or collection rights. The Water and Power Department Gilgit invites sealed bids from interested parties and the general public for the open auction of unserviceable material lying at the Gilgit-Baltistan Hydro Electric Workshop. This auction is being conducted by the Executive Engineer of the GBHEW Division in Gilgit. The auction offers two lots of unserviceable material categorized by their respective sections. Items being auctioned: - Unserviceable material of Mechanical Section (11,895 kgs) - Unserviceable material of Electrical Section (8,263 kgs) The auction will be held on 28th September 2026 with two separate timings for receipt and opening of tenders for each lot. The Mechanical Section material bids will be received by 11:00 AM and opened at 11:30 AM, while the Electrical Section material bids will be received by 1:00 PM and opened at 1:30 PM. The cost of bidding documents is Rs. 4,000 for each lot, and earnest money deposits are Rs. 32,800 and Rs. 43,800 respectively. Bidders can inspect the items during office hours prior to the auction date. The auction will be conducted on an 'AS IS WHERE IS' basis. The highest bid is subject to approval by the competent authority. Successful bidders must deposit 50% of the bid amount immediately after acceptance, with the remaining amount payable within 7 days. Failure to pay will result in forfeiture of the deposited amount. All applicable government taxes and duties will be borne by the successful bidders. Purchased items must be removed within 15 days after full payment and issuance of the sale order. Interested bidders should prepare their bids carefully, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions. A practical tip is to visit the workshop early to inspect the materials thoroughly, as no claims regarding condition or quantity will be entertained after the auction.
