Tender Description
The Local Government & Community Development (LG&CD) Civil Division Gujrat invites electronic bids from eligible contractors and firms for multiple development works in Gujrat district through the Punjab e-Procurement System. The procurement is for the construction rehabilitation of streets, drains, and nullahs, as well as the construction and rehabilitation of roads in various Union Councils and Municipal Committee areas within Gujrat. Items being procured:
- Construction rehabilitation of streets, drains and nullah and construction/rehabilitation of roads in UCs Bhagwal and Guliana (Rs. 11.416 Million)
- Construction of streets, drains/nullah and construction/rehabilitation of roads in UC Aach and UC Dilawarpur (Rs. 10 Million)
- Construction of streets, drains/nullah and construction/rehabilitation of roads in MC Kharian, UC Marala and UC Dhunni (Rs. 25 Million)
- Construction of streets, drains/nullah and construction/rehabilitation of roads in UC Langrial and UC Kotla (Rs. 15 Million)
- Construction of streets, drains/nullah and construction/rehabilitation of roads in UC Mandi Bhalwal and UC Bhanagar (Rs. 10.248 Million)
- Construction of streets, drains/nullah and construction/rehabilitation of roads in Municipal Committee Sarai Alamgir (Rs. 20.280 Million)
The scope includes civil works for streets, drains, nullahs, and roads rehabilitation across multiple Union Councils and Municipal Committee areas in Gujrat. Bidders must be duly enlisted or renewed with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for the financial year 2026-27 and meet all eligibility criteria as per Punjab Procurement Rules, 2014 (as amended). Bid security of 5% of the estimated cost must be submitted via a Digital Bank Guarantee through the Punjab e-Procurement System. Physical bid securities such as CDR, Pay Order, or Demand Draft will not be accepted. Bids must be submitted electronically only through the Punjab e-Procurement System by 16-09-2026 at 12:30 PM. The bids will be opened electronically on the same day at 01:00 PM in the office of the Assistant Engineer LG&CD Civil Sub Division Gujrat. Manual bids, email, courier, or postal submissions will not be accepted. The contract will be awarded to the lowest evaluated responsive bidder in accordance with Punjab Procurement Rules. Bidders are advised to carefully review the detailed bidding documents available on the Punjab e-Procurement System and PPRA Punjab website. One practical tip for bidders is to ensure the Digital Bank Guarantee is valid and transmitted correctly via SWIFT MT760 to avoid rejection of bids. Also, bidders offering rates more than 30% below the estimated cost must submit a rate analysis before the work order is issued to avoid forfeiture of earnest money.
