Tender Description
This tender invites qualified candidates for the contractual position of Medical Officer (B-17) or Lady Medical Officer (B-17) to serve as Diseases Surveillance Officer (DSO) in Rakhshan Division, Balochistan, specifically covering districts Kharan, Chagai, and Washuk. The Divisional Health Services department in Kharan seeks to strengthen disease surveillance and outbreak response through this role, which is critical for public health monitoring and timely interventions.
The appointed DSO will lead surveillance activities, coordinate outbreak responses, and act as the single point of accountability for surveillance data within their district. The role demands expertise in reviewing and refining surveillance systems, conducting active case searches, community engagement, and managing case line-listing and data reporting. Candidates must hold an MBBS/BDS degree recognized by PMDC, with preference for those having MSPH/MPH/FETP qualifications. The position is contractual/ad-hoc, with pay and allowances as per government scales, and candidates must apply through proper channels with a NOC if employed in government or semi-government organizations.
Applicants should ensure compliance with government age limits and submit attested copies of all relevant documents including PMDC registration, educational certificates, domicile, CNIC, photographs, and an updated CV. The selection committee reserves the right to cancel interviews without notice. Candidates dismissed from government or non-government positions for disciplinary reasons are ineligible. This opportunity requires careful attention to detail and adherence to procedural requirements to avoid disqualification.
The walk-in interview is scheduled for 18th February 2026 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the office of the Commissioner/Chairman Divisional Health Recruitment Committee, Rakhshan Division, Kharan. Interested candidates must submit applications in person or via courier to the Divisional Director Health Services office in Kharan before the deadline.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to bring all original documents and a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) if required, as incomplete applications or missing credentials will not be entertained. Also, verify the exact venue and timing in the official newspaper advertisement to avoid last-minute confusion.
