Tender Description
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board, based in Peshawar, is inviting Expressions of Interest from national publishers, individuals, authors, or groups of authors for the development of textbooks for Grades 9 and 11. These textbooks will be developed in accordance with the Curriculum 2024-25 as notified by the Directorate of Curriculum & Teacher Education (DCTE), Abbottabad, and under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbooks and Learning Materials Policy (KPTLM) 2017. The subjects required include Physics and Computer Science for Grade 9, and Computer Science and Islamiat Compulsory for Grade 11.
Interested parties must be registered national publishing firms or individuals with valid registration with the Income Tax authorities. They should demonstrate proven experience and technical capacity in textbook development and production, as outlined in the prequalification documents. These documents can be obtained free of cost from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board office in Peshawar during office hours or downloaded from the official website https://ktbb.kp.gov.pk.
Complete Expressions of Interest must be submitted to the Secretary of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board in Peshawar by or before the deadline of 20 July 2026. Late submissions will not be entertained. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all EOIs without assigning any reason, following applicable rules and regulations. Qualified publishers will bear all expenses related to manuscript development, submission, and reviews as per approved rates.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the prequalification documents and ensure all required information and supporting documents are complete and accurate. Incomplete applications or those lacking prescribed documents will be rejected without further correspondence. Maintaining compliance with Earnest Money and CDR requirements, if applicable, and timely submission before the deadline will enhance chances of successful shortlisting.
