Tender Description
Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) invites bids for the disposal of old unserviceable power transformers located at various grid stations in Sukkur. This procurement is specifically managed by the Chief Engineer (Development) Project Management Unit at SEPCO Sukkur. The transformers are situated at 66kV Grid Stations Nara-I and Nara-II, 132kV Grid Stations Rohri, Kotdiji, Daharki, and Rasoolabad. The sale is on an as-is-where-is basis, and bidders must quote rates for the complete tender to be considered. The scope includes lifting and removal of scrap transformers with capacities ranging from 1MVA to 13MVA, including power cores, copper tubes, and lamination tubes. Interested bidders must be registered taxpayers with valid CNIC, NTN, and STRN if available. They should also not be blacklisted or debarred by WAPDA, NTDC, or DISCOs. The tender requires earnest money in the form of CDR, bank guarantee, or pay order valid for 120 days, payable to the Chief Engineer (Dev.) PMU SEPCO Sukkur. Bids must be submitted electronically via E-PADS on the PPRA website by the deadline of 04-05-2026. Physical inspection of materials is allowed from 16-04-2026 to 03-05-2026 during office hours at the designated grid stations. Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents and ensure compliance with all terms, including bid validity of 90 days and submission of all required documents. A practical tip for bidders is to physically inspect the transformers at the specified locations before bidding to assess condition and quantity, as no claims will be entertained post-award. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for firms with adequate resources and experience in scrap material handling to participate in a transparent disposal process managed under WAPDA and PPRA rules.
