Tender Description
Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL) through its Supply Chain Management Department Karachi invites sealed bids for the exchange of A320-214 Landing Gear Shipsets installed on the PIACL A320 Fleet. This procurement is specifically for the exchange of four landing gear shipsets with part numbers corresponding to aircraft registrations AP-BLB, AP-BLZ, AP-BLS, and AP-BLY. The scope includes exchange of main and nose landing gears with due overhaul dates ranging from February to August 2027. Bidders must submit separate offers for each shipset and may bid for one or more shipsets depending on availability. The technical scope requires compliance with EASA Form1/FAA Form 8130-3/TCCA Form One/PCAA Form 1/CAA (UK) Form 1 certification, confirmation of non-accidental certificates with BTB traceability, prohibition of PMA parts and non-OEM repairs, and full compliance with all applicable Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins. Storage and preservation conditions must be confirmed and prices fixed. Spare LRUs such as retract actuators must be available with each shipset. Eligibility requires bidders to be registered with FBR and ATL, and to meet mandatory technical criteria including minimum remaining life cycles and warranty commitments. The bidding process follows the Single Stage Two Envelope procedure under Pakistan Public Procurement Rules 2004. Earnest Money Deposit of PKR 500,000 is required from local bidders along with a non-refundable tender fee of PKR 15,000. Bids must be submitted through EPADS by 1030 hours on 22-06-2026. The technical bid will be evaluated on criteria including remaining life, warranty, core return time, and reliability commitments. Financial bids will be assessed on total price including transportation, payment terms, and readiness for pick-up. The contract may be awarded to multiple bidders and liquidated damages apply for delays. Bidders should carefully prepare their technical and financial proposals and ensure all mandatory requirements are met to avoid disqualification. One practical tip is to ensure the bid security and all required documents are submitted in original sealed envelopes to the Supply Chain Management Department Building at PIACL Head Office Karachi before the deadline to avoid rejection. This tender offers a significant opportunity for suppliers experienced in aircraft landing gear exchange and overhaul services to engage with Pakistan's national airline on a critical fleet maintenance project.
