Hiring of 150 Mbps Committed Information Rate (CIR) Internet Services Over Optical Fiber Cable (OFC)

Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited (KS&EW), under the Ministry of Defence Production, invites proposals for hiring 150 Mbps Committed Information Rate (CIR) Internet Services over Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) for one year from the date of contract signing or work order issuance. The service is required at the Data Center, IT Department of KS&EW in Karachi. Items being procured: - 150 Mbps CIR Internet Bandwidth Services over Fiber Optic Cable - /28 Static IP Pool The scope includes provision of CIR Internet Bandwidth with low latency and jitter, 24x7x365 helpdesk and technical support, primary and disaster recovery sites for business continuity, and uptime SLA of 99.30%. The ISP must provide usage reports accessible to KS&EW technical staff. The internet connectivity along with related devices such as switches, routers, modules, and converters will be terminated directly in the Data Center. Installation and configuration of equipment within KS&EW premises must be completed within seven days of work order issuance. Eligibility requirements include a valid company profile, Income Tax and GST certificates, at least five similar projects in the last five years, affidavit of non-blacklisting, own fiber infrastructure in Karachi, and references for similar scale projects in port areas. A bid security of 5% of the total annual fee in the form of a Pay Order is mandatory. The cost of bidding document is Rs. 5,000. Technical and financial proposals must be submitted in separate sealed envelopes by 06 October 2026 at 1030 hrs at the office of the Deputy General Manager (IT Department), KS&EW, West Wharf Road, Karachi. Bids will be opened the same day at 1100 hrs in the presence of bidders or their representatives. The financial proposals of technically qualified bidders will be opened later with prior notice. One practical tip: Ensure your firm's profile and all supporting documents are meticulously completed and signed on every page to avoid disqualification. Also, clearly mention the tender number on the envelope to facilitate proper handling.
