Improvement of Sewerage System, Carpeting of Roads, Paver Blocks and Installation of Water Supply at UC-02, Shadman Town, Karachi

The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) is procuring comprehensive civil and electrical works for the Improvement of Sewerage System, Carpeting of Roads, Paver Blocks, and Installation of Water Supply at UC-02, Shadman Town, Karachi. This tender invites experienced contractors registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in Category C-4 or above with specialization codes CE01, CE09, CE10 & EE06. The project involves extensive road works including scarifying existing surfaces, laying asphalt concrete, and pavement marking. Paver block works include dismantling, excavation, and fixing of precast edge blocks and cement paving blocks. Water supply works cover excavation, laying HDPE pipes of various diameters, and related fittings. Sewerage and drainage works include excavation, RCC pipe laying, cleaning of sewer lines, manhole construction, and desilting of storm water drains. Electrical works encompass installation of MS tabular poles, LED street lights, distribution boards, and earthing systems. Eligible bidders must be active taxpayers on the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) Active Taxpayer Lists (ATL). Proof of experience with similar works executed in the last five years is mandatory, with at least one work costing 80% of the estimated cost or two works each costing 50%. Financial turnover must be supported by bank statements, tax returns, and audit reports for the last five years. Joint ventures are not allowed. The bid security amount is Rs. 4,750,000 and must be submitted from the company's account. The bid validity period is 90 days from the date of bid opening. Bids must be submitted by the deadline at Room # 406, 4th Floor, Civic Centre Complex, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. The submission deadline is seven days after the publish date, with bids opened publicly thereafter. The contract duration is 12 months with a 4-month defect liability period. Performance security of 5% of the contract price is required.
