AUCTION: Open Auction of Mixed Scrap by Karachi Gateway Terminal Multipurpose (Private) Limited

NOTE: This is an AUCTION/LEASE notice, not a procurement tender. Bidders pay the department to acquire ownership, lease, rental, or collection rights. Karachi Gateway Terminal Multipurpose (Private) Limited (KGTML) invites interested parties to participate in an open auction for the sale of Mixed Scrap on an 'As Is Where Is' basis at Karachi Port, Karachi. The auction offers bidders the opportunity to acquire mixed scrap material located at Berth No. 6-10, East Wharf. Items being auctioned include mixed scrap with no further itemization provided. The auction process includes an inspection opportunity on 17th September 2026 at 03:30 PM at the KGTML premises. Bidders must arrive before the specified time for smooth gate entry; late arrivals will not be allowed. The auction itself will be held on 22nd September 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location through an open outcry method. Bidders must present their original CNIC on both inspection and auction days and submit their company letterhead along with a copy of CNIC for record purposes. The successful bidder is required to submit an additional CNIC copy for KGTML's official record. Payments must be made via Pay Order in favor of KGTML. All applicable taxes, duties, and levies are the responsibility of the successful bidder. A security deposit of PKR 2.5 million is required on the auction day, with an additional PKR 5 million due within seven days prior to scrap removal commencement. This payment arrangement continues until all scrap is cleared. Failure to deposit the required amount within the stipulated timeframe will result in forfeiture of the security deposit. The successful bidder must remove all mixed scrap on a fast-track basis, ensuring a minimum removal of 300 metric tons per month during the four-month validity period. Failure to meet this target without valid justification may result in penalties, including recovery from the security deposit or contract termination. No vehicle carrying scrap will be allowed to exit without proper weighment, documentation, and gate pass. The bidder is responsible for lifting, loading, transportation, labor, safety measures, and compliance with all applicable laws. KGTML disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, or accident during these processes. KGTML reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without assigning any reason. Bidders are advised to carefully review the terms and conditions and ensure timely submission of required documents and payments to avoid disqualification.
