Pre-Qualification of Contractors for 132kV Transmission and Grid Station Works by Azad Jammu & Kashmir Electricity Department

Azad Jammu & Kashmir Electricity Department (AJKED) invites applications for pre-qualification of contractors for multiple lots involving construction, erection, installation, stringing, testing, and commissioning of 132kV transmission lines and grid stations across various districts in Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The works include projects at Grid Station Sehnsa in Kotli, Grid Station Samahni in Bhimber, Grid Station Kahutta in Haveli, Grid Station Jabbi in Bhimber, transmission line Jabbi in Bhimber, and Grid Station Sahar in Mirpur. Each lot requires contractors registered with WAPDA/NTDC/DISCO/AJKED, holding valid PEC registration with CE-10 and EE-05 specialization codes, and active FBR/IRD tax status with NTN. The lots specify minimum previous experience and project values ranging from Rs. 50 Million to Rs. 150 Million with PEC categories C3 & Above or C4 & Above. Items being procured: - Lot A: Construction, erection, installation, stringing, testing & commissioning of 132kV transmission feed line for 132/11kV Grid Station Sehnsa, District Kotli - Lot B: Similar works for 132kV transmission feed line for 132/11kV Grid Station Samahni, District Bhimber - Lot C: Geotech investigation, design, construction, erection, testing & commissioning of 132kV Grid Station Kahutta, District Haveli - Lot D: Similar works for 132kV Grid Station Jabbi, District Bhimber - Lot E: Geotech investigation, survey, design, construction, erection, installation, stringing, testing & commissioning of 132kV transmission line Jabbi, District Bhimber - Lot F: Design & construction of remaining works at 33kV Grid Station Sahar, District Mirpur The pre-qualification documents can be obtained from the office of Director Grids/Construction/Procurement AJKED Muzaffarabad from 1st October to 16th October 2026 upon submission of a written application on official letterhead, authority letter, PEC certificate, work orders, completion certificates, and payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 5,000 per lot. Applications must be submitted in sealed envelopes by hand or post to the same office by 11:00 AM on 19th October 2026. The technical bids will be opened at 11:30 AM on the same day in the presence of bidders' representatives. Only pre-qualified contractors will be invited for the financial bid stage. Contractors must not be blacklisted and must submit an affidavit confirming this. The department reserves the right to reject any or all bids as per AJK PPRA Rules. The evaluation report will be published on the AJK PPRA website. Bidders are advised to carefully prepare their applications with all required documents and ensure timely submission to avoid disqualification. Early collection of pre-qualification documents is recommended to allow sufficient time for preparation.
