Tender Description
The Hazara Electric Supply Company (HAZECO) invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the procurement of ACSR DOG (7/.186) bare steel reinforced electrical cable as per WAPDA/NTDC Specification No.P-50:88 (Amended to Date). This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and will be executed under contract reference P145230.
Items being procured:
- ACSR DOG (7/.186) bare steel reinforced electrical cable, quantity 484.90 Km, free delivery to HAZECO Regional Store Abbottabad, delivery schedule 60-180 days.
The technical scope requires compliance with NTDC/WAPDA/PPMC specifications. Inspection of the material will be conducted at the supplier's premises by Chief Engineer (MI) PPMC Lahore jointly with CEO HAZECO Abbottabad or authorized representatives. The supplier must provide 0.5% of the material cost as a non-reimbursable inspection fee. Rejected materials must be replaced at the supplier's cost without extension of delivery period.
Eligibility criteria include valid FBR registration, proven experience with DISCOs or WAPDA formations for similar or higher rated materials, and no blacklisting by relevant authorities. Bidders may participate individually or as joint ventures with up to two members.
Bids must be submitted electronically through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 portal by Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 10:30 AM. Manual submissions will not be accepted. Bid security in the form of Call at Deposit or Bank Guarantee is required, with the original submitted physically to HAZECO HQ, Abbottabad before the deadline.
The evaluation will follow Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) criteria. Bidders are advised to carefully review all bidding documents and ensure compliance with all technical and commercial requirements. One practical tip: ensure timely registration and familiarization with EPADS v2.0 to avoid disqualification due to submission errors.
