Tender Description
This tender invites electronic bids for the procurement of consumable items required at the Hydel Power Station in Tarbela, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, under the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA). The procurement falls under the Medical & Surgical Supplies category, focusing on essential consumables needed for the efficient operation and maintenance of the power station.
The contract duration is 180 days from the issuance date, emphasizing timely delivery and quality compliance. Bidders must be original equipment manufacturers, authorized distributors, suppliers, or contractors registered with the Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments and listed on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Additionally, bidders should hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) licenses in the appropriate category to ensure technical and regulatory compliance.
For PEC compliance, ensure your registration is current and valid for the 2025-26 financial year. The FBR ATL status is mandatory to confirm tax compliance, which is critical for bid acceptance. The bid security of PKR 1,000,000 must be furnished via bank draft, call deposit, or bank guarantee from a scheduled bank in Pakistan, favoring the Chief Engineer (Power), WAPDA, Tarbela. Insurance guarantees are not acceptable.
Electronic bids must be submitted through the EPADS portal (www.eprocure.gov.pk) by 11:00 AM on 5th March 2026. The bid opening will follow at 11:30 AM the same day, conducted by the bid opening committee. Manual bids will be rejected. The submission process follows the Single Stage Single Envelope procedure, ensuring transparency and fairness.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the bid security requirements and ensure your bank guarantees meet the stipulated conditions. Missing or non-compliant bid securities are a common cause of disqualification. Also, verify your ATL and PEC credentials well before submission to avoid last-minute issues.
