Tender Description

Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA), under the Government of Sindh, invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the position of Procurement and Contract Management Specialist (PCMS) for the Karachi Mobility Project (KMP) Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) initiative. This is a consultancy opportunity based in Karachi, aimed at strengthening the procurement and contract management capacity for the project. The selected consultant will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with World Bank procurement guidelines and supporting the implementation of the BRT system. Items being procured: - Procurement and Contract Management Specialist (PCMS), one position The scope of work includes providing expert advice on procurement planning, contract management, and documentation in line with FIDIC conditions. The consultant will be responsible for preparing procurement documents, managing contracts, and offering technical recommendations. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 16 years of post-qualification experience, including a minimum of five years in procurement and contract management for donor-funded projects. Proficiency in English, strong IT skills (MS Office, Word, Excel), and experience with World Bank procurement procedures are essential.
