Tender Description
The Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, invites national competitive bids for the procurement of specialized equipment under the Nanofiber Research Lab at the Center of Nanoscience and Nano-technology (NCNN). This tender is specifically for the supply, installation, commissioning, and demonstration of advanced laboratory equipment to support research and development activities in nanoscience. The procurement is managed by the Deputy Director (Procurement) at MUET, Jamshoro, Sindh.
Items being procured:
- Electrospinning Power Supply 30~50 kV (Qty: 2)
- Digital Measuring Microscope with 2000X~5000X magnification (Qty: 1)
- Digital Weighing Balance with 4 decimal precision (Qty: 1)
The equipment specifications include high voltage DC power supply with safety features, a fully integrated digital microscope with motorized zoom and high-resolution imaging, and a precision digital balance with automatic calibration. The microscope must support advanced measurement functions and come with comprehensive software and user training. The supplier must provide warranty coverage, calibration certificates, and demonstrate the equipment's functionality using electrospun nanofiber samples.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for Income and Sales Tax, Sindh Revenue Board for works and services, and Pakistan Engineering Council where applicable. Bidders must not be blacklisted and should have at least five years of relevant experience. Financial turnover requirements vary per item, with a minimum average annual turnover of Rs. 7 million to Rs. 50 million depending on the lot. Earnest money of 5% of the estimated cost is required.
Bids must be submitted electronically via the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority's EPADS portal by 15th September 2026 at 11:00 AM. Manual bids will not be accepted. Tender documents are available on the SPPRA EPADS portal and MUET website upon payment of the non-refundable fee. Bid security and tender fee must be submitted in original form to the Deputy Director (Procurement) before bid opening. Technical bids will be opened publicly on the same day at specified times for each lot.
The procurement follows the Single Stage One Envelope procedure. The university reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids as per SPP Rules 2010 (amended). Bidders are advised to carefully review the tender documents and ensure compliance with all terms and conditions.
