Port Qasim Authority (PQA) Karachi invites qualified and experienced vendors to submit proposals for the procurement, supply, installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, training, warranty, and support of comprehensive IT infrastructure. This includes hardware, servers, storage, virtualization, backup, network, security, data center passive infrastructure, and enterprise LAN components to support PQA's ERP program, business applications, and future digital initiatives. Items being procured: - 10 Stack Servers - 2 Unified Storage Systems - 2 SAN Switches - 1 Virtualization Manager - 26 OS Licenses for Virtual Machines - Backup Solution licenses for VM instances and 25TB unstructured data - 1 Network Management System (NMS) - 1 Tape Library for PR site - 1 Tape Library for Cold site - 2 Next Generation Firewalls - 2 Layer-3 Modular Switches - 5 Smart Racks - 2 UPS units - 2 Cooling Units - 1 Data center passive infrastructure job - 1 Genset (45 KVA Diesel) - Deployment of Optical Fiber Network (approx. 4.5 KM ring topology) - 55 Enterprise LAN Access Switches - 2 Aggregation Switches - 15 6U Wall Mount Racks - 3 Dedicated Vehicles for on-site IT deployment and support - Training for system administration, network administration, and cybersecurity fundamentals The scope includes turnkey delivery of a Tier II compliant data center with modular smart row configuration, precision cooling, redundant power systems, fire suppression, access control, CCTV, and centralized monitoring. The optical fiber network will be designed with high availability ring topology interconnecting 22 departments/buildings with full testing and documentation. Bidders must comply with mandatory eligibility criteria including valid registrations, tax compliance, bid security of PKR 20,000,000, and local support presence in Karachi. Technical proposals will be evaluated on company profile, financial soundness, experience, OEM compliance, team qualifications, and methodology. Financial bids will be opened only for technically qualified bidders. The contract includes 5-year OEM warranty and support with next business day response, onsite training, and full documentation. Dedicated vehicles must be new, maintained, and transferred to PQA after project completion. Bids must be submitted in separate sealed envelopes for technical and financial proposals by the specified deadline.
