Tender Description
The Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, Sindh, is inviting bids for the procurement of lab equipment for its Textile Engineering Department under the HEC NRPU 137159-140 project. This procurement is specifically for supply, installation, putting into operation, and demonstration of the working of the equipment at MUET Jamshoro. The department requires high-quality equipment to support research and teaching activities in textile engineering.
Items being procured:
- Solar Simulator (Xenon Arc Lamp, CEL-PE300L-3A, CEAuLight)
- Benchtop Digital Multimeter — Keithley 2450 SourceMeter® SMU Instrument
- Laser Light ADR-1805 (Fiber-Coupled Laser Diode Controller)
- Solar Irradiance Meter — Tenmars TM-206
- IR Thermal Camera — FLIR ONE® Edge Pro
- RTD Temperature Data Logger — MadgeTech RTDTempX-16 (16-Channel)
The technical scope includes equipment with detailed specifications such as a solar simulator with AM1.5G solar filter, a high-precision digital multimeter with multiple interfaces, a laser diode controller with modulation capabilities, solar power meter, thermal imaging camera with radiometric capabilities, and a multi-channel temperature data logger. The equipment must be supplied with all necessary accessories, cables, and software as specified.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to have at least five years of experience supplying similar goods to universities or large organizations. Bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for Income Tax and Sales Tax, be active taxpayers, and not blacklisted by any procuring agency. PEC registration is required as applicable. The estimated cost is **PKR 7.039 Million** with a bid security of **PKR 0.352 Million** (5% of estimated cost). The contract completion time is 3 months from the date of commencement.
The tender documents are available on the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority's EPADS portal and MUET's official website. Bids must be submitted electronically through EPADS by **11:00 AM on 11-08-2026**. Manual bids will not be accepted. The bid opening will take place at the office of the Deputy Director (Procurement), MUET Jamshoro at 11:30 AM on the same day.
