Tender Description
The Dr Ruth KM Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi invites bids for the purchase of air conditioners including supply, installation, testing, and commissioning on a framework contract basis for the financial year 2025-2026. This procurement is specific to Karachi and managed by the hospital's procurement department. The scope covers multiple types of air conditioners: 1.5 Ton wall mounted split units, 4.0 Ton floor standing units, 3.0 Ton ceiling cassette units, and 4.0 Ton ceiling cassette units. Each unit must have T3 tropicalized compressors suitable for continuous hospital operation, use R-410A or R-32 refrigerants, and include full installation accessories such as copper piping, electrical wiring, MCBs, earthing, and gas charging. Warranty terms include 5 years on compressors and 1 year on parts.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered manufacturers, importers, sole agents, or authorized distributors with valid NTN, GST, and income tax certificates. Firms must demonstrate a financial turnover of at least PKR 10 million annually for the last three years verified by FBR and bank certificates. Experience of at least three years with three government or semi-government institutions and satisfactory performance certificates are mandatory. Bidders must submit a 2.5% bid security and a 5% performance security upon award. The tender fee of PKR 5,000 is non-refundable and must be attached with the bid. Bids must be submitted electronically via the E-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS) by 04 May 2026 between 10:00 and 11:00 AM, with opening at 12:00 noon the same day.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all pages of the bid documents are signed and stamped by an authorized person and to attach the tender purchase receipt with the bid. Failure to do so will result in rejection. Also, bidders should carefully inspect the site and clarify any missing specifications with the procurement department before submission.
