Tender Description
Agro Food Processing (AFP) Facilities Multan is procuring comprehensive services for the supply of spare parts, installation, repair, maintenance, and commissioning of five cold stores compressor units. This tender is specifically for the Multan facility located at Plot# 30-33, Industrial Estate Phase II. The scope includes complete washing, oil replacement, filter dryer core, condenser coil, liquid receiver, suction accumulator, oil separator, condenser fan with fan motor rewinding, fan guard repair, motor shaft and fan blade balancing, controls gauges, wiring, copper pipes and fittings supply and installation with insulation, temperature controllers, sensors with display, LP/HP switches, gas supply, gas leakage detection, and gas charging. Installation and commissioning of the compressor units are also part of the contract. The target temperature for the cold stores is between +5 to +10 °C with incoming product temperature at +30 °C.
Eligible bidders must be duly registered with valid NTN, STRN, and active tax payer status with FBR. Firms must not be blacklisted by any government or private entity and should have a minimum annual turnover of PKR 3 million. Experience in similar projects and a qualified project team with electrical, mechanical, or electronics engineering expertise is required. Bidders must submit a technical bid and a financial bid under the single stage two envelope procedure. The technical bid will be evaluated on experience, project completion, financial strength, and qualified manpower. Financial bids of technically disqualified bidders will be returned unopened.
The deadline for bid submission is 12:00 PM on June 16, 2026, at the AFP Facilities office in Multan. Bids must be submitted in person or by registered mail. The technical bid opening will be at 12:30 PM on the same day, followed by the financial bid opening for technically qualified bidders. The bid security required is 2% of the total bid price in the form of a pay order. The contract period for completion is 30 days from the commencement date. Payments will be made in Pak Rupees with 30% advance, 30% upon delivery and installation of three compressor units, and 40% after final completion and inspection.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all technical documentation, including sketches and drawings of internal and external installations, are prepared in accordance with AFP standards and submitted timely. This will facilitate smooth technical evaluation and avoid disqualification. Also, ensure earnest money and performance security are arranged as per tender requirements to avoid bid rejection.
