Complete Overhauling of KIBGE Networking Infrastructure with Fiber Optic Core, Network Segregation and Centralized Power Solution

The Karachi Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (KIBGE), University of Karachi, is procuring a complete overhaul of its networking infrastructure located in Karachi, Sindh. This project involves the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a modernized network infrastructure featuring a fiber optic core, network segregation, and a centralized power solution covering all wings, floors, lecture halls, auditorium, server room, and residential buildings within the institute. The technical scope includes supply and installation of rigid and flexible conduit pipes, fiber optic backbone with redundant 4-core single-mode cables, CAT6 copper cabling, managed PoE switches, WiFi routers, SFP transceivers, server racks, optical distribution frames, cable managers, and related accessories. The vendor is responsible for civil works such as excavation, tunneling, and cable laying, as well as configuration of VLANs, QoS, security protocols, and VoIP telephony systems. Testing includes OTDR for fiber and wire map for copper cables, with full documentation and warranty support. Eligible bidders must hold a valid PEC certificate, be authorized distributors of specified cable brands, and provide proof of FBR/ATL registration and relevant experience. The tender requires submission of bids through EPADS by May 14, 2026, 02:30 PM, with original bid security pay order submitted physically to KIBGE administration.
