Dismantling and Refixing of Solar System from Urdu Bazar to Sobhraj Maternity Hospital, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Engineering Department invites bids for the dismantling and refixing of the solar system from Urdu Bazar to Sobhraj Maternity Hospital, Karachi. This procurement is part of the Financial Year 2026-27 Annual Procurement Plan under the Engineering Department (Electrical & Mechanical). The scope of work includes dismantling of solar plates along with fixing accessories and structure, dismantling of inverter and communication box, dismantling of LT panel, transportation of materials including hydraulic crane loading and unloading, providing and fixing paver blocks of 6000 to 7000 psi with rawl bolts for solar plate fixtures including civil works, installation of solar plates with mounting accessories, installation of inverter and communication box, and installation of LT panel with accessories including AC breaker, SPD, DC fuse, electrical accessories, cables, and conduit. Items being procured: - Providing & fixing earthing set (1'x1') copper plate including excavation of rock to 12' depth with salt/choracale mixed with GI pipe, nut bolt testing topping etc. (1 Job) - Dismantling of solar plates along with fixing accessories and structure (179 Nos.) - Dismantling of inverter and communication box (1 No.) - Dismantling of LT panel (1 No.) - Transportation cost of material including hydraulic crane for loading and unloading (1 Job) - Providing and fixing of paver blocks 6000 to 7000 psi of suitable size and weight with rawl bolts for fixing of solar plates fixtures including civil work (716 Jobs) - Installation of solar plates with mounting accessories (179 Nos.) - Installation of inverter and communication box (1 No.) - Installation of LT panel with fixing of accessories including AC breaker, SPD, DC fuse, electrical accessories including cables and conduit (1 Set) The technical scope requires compliance with the specifications and drawings provided by the Engineering Department. Bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in categories C-6, EE-06 & above, EE-11(i), EE-11(ii), EE-11(iii) relevant to the work. Valid NTN certificate, active tax payer status, registration with Sindh Revenue Board, and a valid Electric Contractors License from the Electrical Inspector Government of Sindh (Karachi Region) are mandatory. The firm must have a PEC registered engineer and demonstrate experience of similar works executed in the past five years with at least one work equivalent to 80% of the estimated cost or two works equivalent to 50% of the estimated cost. Financial soundness is required with a minimum annual turnover not less than the estimated cost. The bid security is 5% of the estimated cost and performance security is 5% of the total cost. The bid validity period is 90 days. Bids must be submitted in a single stage one envelope method. The deadline for submission is 28-09-2026 by 2:00 PM, with bid opening at 2:30 PM on the same day at the Office of Superintending Engineer (E&M), 512 J.M New M.A. Jinnah Road Gurumandir Karachi. Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents, including instructions to bidders, conditions of contract, and schedules to bid. Earnest money in the form of bid security must accompany the bid. The bid must be quoted in Pak Rupees and include all duties, taxes, and levies. Late bids will be rejected. The procuring agency reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without assigning any reason.
