Tender Document
Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the supply of a PIA Boeing 777 Aircraft Model measuring 36cm at a 1:200 scale, without landing gears. The model is crafted from zinc alloy with a wooden stand and packed in foam and card boxes. The delivery location is the Pakistan International Airlines Head Office in Karachi, Sindh. This procurement falls under the Furniture & Furnishings category, reflecting the specialized nature of the model as a display or presentation item.
The Supply Chain Management Department of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL) is managing this procurement. Vendors must prepare their bids on a Single Stage Two Envelope Basis, submitting separate sealed Technical and Financial Proposals. The technical proposal must include a tender fee of PKR 30,000 and an earnest money deposit of PKR 50,000, both payable via pay order. A quality sample of the aircraft model is mandatory for evaluation. The tender documents are available electronically through the PIACL and PPRA websites, and bids must be submitted via the EPADS online portal. Manual submissions without EPADS are not accepted.
Bidders should ensure compliance with all PEC and FBR requirements for the 2025-26 financial year, including valid GST and NTN certificates for local bidders. The tender fee and earnest money are refundable only with the financial proposal. The evaluation process will open technical proposals first, followed by financial proposals of technically qualified bidders. The bid validity period is 120 days, and late submissions will be rejected. Foreign bidders are exempt from earnest money and tender fees but must send samples and bids on a DDP basis to Karachi.
The submission deadline is set for 20th April 2026 at 10:30 AM, with bid opening at 11:00 AM the same day. Bidders must submit hard copies of bids and original bid security instruments to the D.G.M Procurement Management at the 1st Floor, Supply Chain Management Department Building, PIACL Head Office, Karachi Airport. The physical tender box is located at the entrance of the SCM Building.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your technical and financial proposals are sealed separately and clearly labeled with the tender reference number and supplier name. Also, double-check the pay order details on the back side to avoid disqualification. Missing or incorrect earnest money or tender fee documentation is a common reason for rejection, so pay close attention to these requirements.
