Tender Description
The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the procurement of 50KVA Transformers under contract reference P85567 for the financial year 2026-27. This procurement is intended to supply transformers to MEPCO regional stores located in Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and D.G. Khan. Items being procured:
- 50KVA Transformer (Quantity: 85 units)
The transformers must conform strictly to the NTDC/PEPCO specification DDS-84:2020 (Amended to-date). The scope includes supply of brand new transformers inclusive of all taxes, duties, and 0.5% inspection charges, delivered free of cost at consignee stores. Inspection will be conducted at the supplier's premises by authorized representatives, including MEPCO and Chief Engineer (M.I) PEPCO Lahore. Up to 5% of transformers from each consignment will be randomly selected for testing at EHV Lab Rawat, with transportation costs borne by the supplier and testing costs by MEPCO. Failure in tests will result in rejection of the entire lot.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with FBR, have valid sales tax registration, and not be blacklisted by WAPDA, DISCOs, GENCOs, or NTDC. Bidders must provide bid security in the form of Pay Order, Banker's Cheque, Call Deposit, or Bank Guarantee. Performance security of 5% of contract value is required upon award. The bid validity period is 75 days. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0 by 22nd September 2026 at 11:15 AM, with original bid security submitted physically to MEPCO Complex, Wapda Colony, Khanewal Road, Multan.
Technical bids will be evaluated on a Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) basis. Partial deliveries and payments are allowed. The delivery period is 120 days or earlier. Payment will be made in Pakistani Rupees against actual invoices and delivery receipts. Bidders are advised to ensure compliance with all technical and procedural requirements to avoid disqualification.
