Issued by the Reform Support Unit under the School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, this procurement focuses on delivering high-quality furniture items such as desks, chairs, tables, laboratory furniture, and office furniture tailored to the needs of primary and secondary schools in Karachi and surrounding districts. The scope includes manufacturing, transportation, delivery, installation, and fixing of furniture as per approved technical specifications and drawings. The furniture must meet durability, safety, and ergonomic standards suitable for educational environments, with materials like seasoned neem or babar wood and powder-coated mild steel frames.
Bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue and comply with all relevant tax and regulatory requirements. The tender follows the Single Stage Two Envelope bidding procedure via the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SPPRA) portal, with mandatory electronic submission on the e-PADS platform. The bid security is set at 2% of the quoted bid amount, and a non-refundable tender fee of PKR 3000 is required. The contract includes a warranty period of one year post-delivery and acceptance.
Interested bidders should ensure compliance with PEC categories and maintain active FBR/ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. The tender emphasizes the importance of submitting complete technical and financial proposals, including detailed shop drawings and production schedules. The bid validity period is 90 days, and performance security of 10% of the contract price is required upon award.
The submission deadline is set for 23rd April 2026 at 2:30 pm, with technical bids opening at 3:00 pm the same day at the Reform Support Unit office in Karachi. Physical bids are not accepted unless first submitted electronically. The address for submission and correspondence is Bungalow No. 47-E, 48th Street, PECHS, Block-06, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi.
