Tender Description
The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan through the Deputy Director Agriculture Shigar invites sealed tenders from registered suppliers, firms, or contractors for the supply and installation of agricultural inputs and tools as well as fencing and constructional materials for the financial year 2026-27 in Shigar.
Items being procured:
- Purchase of Agricultural Inputs & Tools
- Supply and fixing of Fencing / Constructional material
The procurement involves supplying quality agricultural inputs and tools essential for local farming activities along with fencing and construction materials to support agricultural infrastructure. Bidders must ensure compliance with specifications available from the office upon request during office hours until one day before the bid opening date.
Eligibility criteria include relevant experience in similar supply contracts and registration with the appropriate authorities. A 3% call deposit (Earnest Money) is required with the bid submission. The bidding process will follow a single stage two envelope procedure. Partial, incomplete, ambiguous, or conditional bids will be rejected. An affidavit on Rs.100 stamp paper confirming the bidder is not blacklisted by any government or semi-government organization or PPRA must accompany the bid.
Tender documents can be obtained from the Deputy Director Agriculture Shigar office during office hours at a non-refundable cost of Rs. 4000. The successful bidder will be responsible for delivery expenses throughout the financial year. The tender is valid until 30th June 2027.
Bids must be submitted sealed and reach the Deputy Director Agriculture Shigar office by 24th September 2026 at 11:00 AM. Bids will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM in the presence of bidders. The procuring agency reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure the call deposit is correctly calculated and submitted on time, and to clearly mark the envelope as 'Addressee only' to avoid disqualification. Early collection of tender documents and clarifications from the office can help prepare a compliant bid.
