Tender Description

The Directorate General Procurement (Army) located near 502 Central Base Workshop EME, Main Adyala Road Rawalpindi invites sealed tenders from reputed firms possessing NTN certificates for the supply of various batteries. The procurement will be conducted under PPRA rules with an emphasis on avoiding exorbitant rates. Items being procured: - Batteries 24V 9.9 AH (650 Nos) - Battery, High Capacity LITH-ION, SPR (3.7V, 7AH for SPR Green Team Radio) (600 Nos) - Maintenance Free Sealed VRLA Battery 12V 7.2 AH (3500 Nos) - Maintenance Free Sealed VRLA Battery 12V 5 AH (1900 Nos) - Battery BB-2590/U with SM BUS 7.5 AH (450 Nos) The technical scope requires indigenous production or supply with agency agreement/dealership certificate for foreign OEM if imported. Firms must provide financial capability undertakings, bank statements for the last 12 months, and a challan of Rs 2000/- deposited into Government Treasury for each tender. Photocopies of CNIC of the firm's MD, NTN certificate, and sales tax registration documents are mandatory. For price preference, firms must submit a list of indigenous items produced, ratio of indigenous to imported materials, and confirmation of minimum 20% value addition through indigenization. Bid security is required as earnest money with rates depending on firm registration status: 2% for pre-qualified/registered/indexed firms (max Rs 0.5 million), 3% for pre-qualified/registered but un-indexed firms (max Rs 0.75 million), and 5% for non-pre-qualified/unregistered/un-indexed firms (max Rs 1 million). 100% quantity must be offered. Offers must remain valid for 120 days from commercial offer opening. A performance guarantee of 10% of contract value is required within 30 days of contract signing. The tender will be opened in the tender room of DGP (Army) in the presence of firm representatives. The bid package must contain two separate envelopes for financial and technical proposals. The submission deadline is **18 August 2026** by 10:30 hrs, with tender opening at 11:00 hrs the same day. Tender documents can be collected until **17 August 2026**. A practical tip for bidders: Ensure all required documents including financial statements, CNIC copies, and dealership certificates are complete and attached to avoid disqualification. Also, strictly adhere to the bid security requirements and offer full quantities as partial bids are not accepted.
