The items include wooden credenzas, computer tables, office tables with glass tops, complete office furniture sets for director rooms and chambers, conference room tables, side tables, coat hangers, center tables with side tables, and footrests. All items must meet detailed technical specifications including laminated chipboard construction, specific dimensions, color schemes, and durability standards ensuring a minimum product life of five years. The delivery and installation will be on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis at the SBP Karachi site.
The procurement process is governed by the Public Procurement Rules 2004 and conducted through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) using a Single Stage One Envelope procedure. Bidders must be registered with PPRA, have valid Income & Sales Tax registration, and be on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) of FBR. A bid security of PKR 69,000 in the form of Call Deposit Receipt (CDR), Demand Draft, or Payment Order is mandatory. The contract includes a two-year warranty period from the date of delivery acceptance. The supplier must provide a 10% performance guarantee in the form of a bank guarantee valid for the entire contract period.
Bidders should ensure compliance with the eligibility and qualification criteria, including proof of experience supplying wooden furniture, financial capability, and local presence in Karachi. The tender documents specify detailed technical and quality standards, including the use of laminated chipboard, solid wood bases, and high-quality fittings. The procurement also requires adherence to the delivery schedule and submission of all required documents through EPADS by the deadline.
Submission deadline is set for 11:00 AM on Friday, March 27, 2026, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day at the General Services Department, 3rd Floor BSC House, I.I Chundrigar Road, Karachi. Bidders must submit bids electronically via EPADS; manual bids will not be accepted. The physical address for correspondence is the Senior Joint Director Procurement Division III, General Services Department, SBP Banking Services Corporation, Karachi.
Pro-Tip: Ensure the original bid security is submitted physically to the procuring agency on or before the bid submission deadline, as failure to do so will result in bid rejection.
